The Flavors of the Red Bean

The red bean sports a bright and deep red hue. When cooked, its slightly sweet taste somewhat resembles that of a hazelnut.

How to Use Trésors de Beauce Red Beans in Cooking?

Its sweet and slightly hazelnut-like taste pairs wonderfully with savory recipes based on tomato sauce, or in spicy dishes. For an original touch, it is also possible to transform red beans into sugar paste for your desserts.

How to Cook Red Beans?

After pre-soaking in twice its volume of water overnight, it can be consumed after 1 to 1.5 hours of boiling in unsalted water. It should only be eaten after cooking to remove its toxicity.
