The Aromas of Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has a distinctive aroma that combines notes of fermented apple with a mild vinegar acidity. It possesses a fruity nose reminiscent of freshly pressed apples.

The Making of Apple Cider Vinegar by Huilerie Beaujolaise

This vinegar is the result of a double fermentation process of apple juice. First, there is an alcoholic fermentation where the natural yeasts present in the juice convert sugar into alcohol, creating wine. Then, an acetic fermentation occurs where the natural bacteria in the fruit wine transform the alcohol into vinegar.

This vinegar is obtained naturally and is not pasteurized. After the fermentation process, it is carefully filtered before being bottled, preserving its authenticity and original flavor.

How to Use Huilerie Beaujolaise Apple Cider Vinegar?

Huilerie Beaujolaise Apple Cider Vinegar is the ideal companion for enhancing your lentil salads. Its mild acidity and subtle aroma blend perfectly with lentils. You can also use it to enhance the broth for fish, whether it's delicate white fish or more robust varieties. This vinegar adds an aromatic dimension that complements the freshness of your fish dishes.

Some Suggestions for Using Apple Cider Vinegar

  • - Onion Tart with Apple Cider Vinegar: Pre-bake your pie crust for 10 minutes. Sauté your onions in a pan with butter until they caramelize. Add a vegetable bouillon cube, then in a separate bowl, mix sour cream with apple cider vinegar, pepper, and salt. Place the onions in your pie shell and cover with the cream mixture. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • - Sautéed Chicken with Apple Cider Vinegar: Heat your chicken pieces in a pan. Once cooked, remove them and in the same pan, add garlic and onions. In a separate bowl, mix apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and honey. Return the chicken to the pan and add your sauce. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  • - Cabbage Salad with Apple Cider Vinegar: In a large bowl, mix your shredded cabbage, a carrot, and a red onion. In a separate bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper to create a perfect vinaigrette. Pour the vinaigrette over your vegetables. Serve chilled.
