Chili con carne
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 2 onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 50 g of butter
- 500 g of ground beef
- 1 Amazonian chili pepper from Terre Exotique
- 2 teaspoons of cumin from Terre Exotique
- 65 g of tomato paste
- 1 large can of drained red beans
- 30 cl of beef broth
- salt
- black Kampot pepper from Terre Exotique
- parsley or fresh coriander
Methods:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) (thermostat 6).
- Chop 2 onions and crush 2 garlic cloves. In a cast iron casserole dish, melt 50 g of butter and gently brown the onions and garlic.
- Add 500 g of ground beef and cook gently for 10 minutes.
- Mix in 1 Amazonian chili pepper, cut into small pieces, 2 teaspoons of cumin, 65 g of tomato paste, and incorporate it all into the beef.
- Add 1 large can of drained red beans, 30 cl of beef broth, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Cover and cook in the oven for 25 minutes.
