Shrimp skewers with satay sauce
Ingredients for 4 people
- 16 to 20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Terre Exotique satay blend
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Juice of one lime
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into pieces
- 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into pieces
- 1 red onion, cut into pieces
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the Terre Exotique satay blend, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and lime juice to make the marinade.
- Add the peeled shrimp to the marinade and mix well to coat them. Cover the bowl and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare your skewers by alternating the marinated shrimp with pieces of bell peppers and red onion.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Cook the shrimp skewers on the hot grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and well cooked. Make sure to turn the skewers halfway through cooking for even cooking.
- During cooking, you can use the remaining marinade to baste the skewers and add even more flavor.
- Once the shrimp skewers are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
